CAUSE Action makes endorsements for local elected offices within Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.

We have chapters of grassroots members who lead endorsement decisions in six cities: Oxnard, Ventura, Santa Paula, Santa Barbara, Lompoc, and Santa Maria. During each election, our local chapter in each city decides which jurisdictions and districts to make endorsements in. Our staff will actively contact all qualified candidates in the selected districts to submit written questionnaires and participate in interviews with our membership.

The CAUSE Action staff, leaders, and board of directors will consider endorsements of candidates in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties running for elected offices in communities outside of our six city-based chapters. For the 2026 Midterm Election, a completed questionnaire must be submitted by Friday, February 27th to be eligible for an interview and endorsement.
